About The Garage Used Cars

The Garage on Gordon Hwy has been open since 1989 although not always named that.  Myron Colley fresh out of college bought this property and opened a store under the Meineke franchise brand.  Becoming very successful over the years and realizing the downfall of being under a franchise Myron decided to open his own chain of stores named Champion Automotive Service Center.  Myron over time grew his franchise to over 45 stores across 5 states.  Our location here at 1628 Gordon Hwy remained the primary store but Myron would fly out to other stores on a daily basis keeping everything operational.  After many successful years Myron decided to sell the business and franchise but never let go of this original location where it all began!  He took a brief break from the automotive business to pursue his other passion of farming while renting out The Garage.  In October of 2016 Myron, his wife Lisa and his son Ryan opened The Garage on Gordon Hwy for vehicle repairs and a small number of used car sales.  With just one store Myron could take better care of his customers and business.  Over the years Ryan has learned the ins and outs of the repair business both as a technician and service advisor.  With Ryan taking over the repair side mid 2024, Myron decided to grow his used car business.  He went from having 10-20 cars on the lot to over 80 with more being added every day.  Every vehicle Myron purchases to be sold here goes through a full inspection in the shop.  One of three things happen to these vehicles based on their condition.  1) We repair any mechanical and safety issues we find, the car is detailed and listed for sale.  2)  Some vehicles just end up being to expensive to repair and sell at a fair price.  These vehicles are still good running vehicles - we list them for sale with a full disclosure of needed repairs.  3)  These vehicles the technicians find to have major flaws that would not be a quality vehicle for sale to our customers.  We send these vehicles to be sold at auction.  We take pride in providing a quality but affordable vehicle to our customers.  Growing this side of our business has been all about a better experience for our customers.  From advertising with Facebook to this website and adding outside lenders or in-house financing we aim to get everyone into a vehicle.  This truly is a family run and operated business at The Garage on Gordon Hwy and The Garage Used Cars.  Come see us for all your automotive needs!
